Feather Star Publishing offers a complete range of expert and professional editing, manuscript evaluation, proofreading, typesetting, translation, cover design and layout, and PDF conversion.

Comprehensive Editing
Rate: $0.048 per word
There is a minimum charge of $50.00.
This service includes:
      Style revision (page setup, pagination, margins, spacing, indention,
      paragraphs, quotes, headers and footers, hyphenation, etc.)
      Typographical errors
      Misspellings
      Punctuation
      Grammar
      Syntax

This editing package includes two drafts. Each additional draft, if needed or requested, will incur an additional fee of $0.02 per word. The manuscript must be received in Microsoft Word format. In editing the work, we use the "Track Changes" tool of Microsoft Word, so that the client can accept or reject the changes. The finished product, submitted to the client by e-mail, will be a formatted manuscript conforming to the standards and requirements of the publishing industry.


Proofreading
Rate: $0.03 per word
There is a minimum charge of $50.00.
This service includes:
      Typographical errors
      Misspellings
      Punctuation


Typesetting
Rate: $0.02 per word
There is a minimum charge of $50.00.
This service includes:
      Page setup
      Layout of title page, half title page, copyright page
      Pagination
      Headers and footers


Translation
Rate: $0.30 per source word
There is a minimum charge of $70.00.
This service includes:
      Translation of any kind of document to/from Greek by a native
      Greek speaker with a Ph.D. in Literature

Even though we specialize in translations to/from Greek, translations to/from French, Spanish, and German are also available through our associates,
native speakers of French, Spanish, and German, respectively.

Note: The rates for translations of poetry usually run higher depending on
the complexity of text and form, and the time involved.


Manuscript Evaluation
Rate: $0.01 per word
This service includes:
      Complete manuscript reading and evaluation


Consultation
Rate: $100.00 per hour
There is a minimum charge of $100.00.
This service includes a consultation session, either in person or by phone, during which we will discuss your project with you, look at your materials, make suggestions and recommendations, and go over your options. Telephone charges, if applicable, are the responsibility of the client.


Cover Design
Our price range for cover design and layout is $300.00 – $1200.00, depending on the complexity of the design, and the time involved.


PDF Conversion
Rate: $0.004 per word
This service includes:
      Conversion of a Word document to PDF


Disclaimer: The client has the final responsibility of ensuring that all the desired changes and corrections have been made before the manuscript is submitted to the printer.
